Editorial and Corrections Policy

Purpose and scope

Our public content helps individual real estate investors understand planning concepts, compare assumptions, and use calculators responsibly. It is educational information, not personalized investment, lending, legal, accounting, or tax advice.

Source standards

We prefer original and authoritative sources: government agencies for laws and official definitions, program owners for lending rules, and primary datasets for market statistics. Sources should appear near the claim they support, and time-sensitive claims should identify the relevant date or period.

Automated output, search-result summaries, and unattributed claims are not treated as primary sources.

Calculator standards

Calculator formulas are deterministic, documented, and tested. Inputs, timing conventions, rounding rules, and known limitations should be visible. Financial values use precise units in calculation logic and are formatted at the presentation boundary.

A calculator result is an estimate based on user inputs. It is not a prediction, valuation, loan approval, tax determination, or guarantee.

Authorship and expert review

Unless a person is named, public guides are authored by Rental Wealth Simulator as an organization. We do not imply professional review that did not occur. When a subject-matter expert reviews a page, the reviewer’s identity, role, and relevant credentials should be shown on that page.

Automated assistance

Automated tools may assist with research, drafting, editing, analysis, imagery, or testing. Automated output is not treated as a source. Factual claims must stand on cited evidence, and calculations must stand on documented formulas and reproducible tests.

Human review remains responsible for deciding what is published and whether the result accurately reflects the available evidence.

Updates and corrections

Material updates receive a new reviewed or modified date. When we find an error that could change a reader’s conclusion, we correct the page and any supporting tests promptly. Minor spelling, wording, or formatting changes may not receive a separate correction note.

If a correction materially changes a formula, example, or conclusion, the page should describe the corrected point and update its reviewed date.

Commercial relationships

Editorial citations are selected for usefulness and authority. If a future link or recommendation involves compensation, sponsorship, or another material relationship, it will be disclosed and given the appropriate link relationship.
